Wind

You should spend more time worrying about the trees loosing there leaves.

For a big storm is coming, faster than you could image.

What hell would you fall into if it was your fault that all the trees lost their leaves?

So let all your worries blow away on the back of the wind.

Awakening Through Death

What would the gates of heaven smell like anyway?

It has taken so many years to kill or feel the need to kill this monster that lives inside me.

Having spent so much time afraid to be alive, running to any place that my mind’s eye could convince my soul that it was safe.

                Here do well and fix things — People will like you

                Act smart — That will give others a reason to call

                Escape into something new and say you are doing it for the greater good

Now I sit with nothing but what’s in front of me.  Knowing that the charade I had played is over, no I mean OVER!

The pain did kill me, the me that needed to die, and only wounded what is left.  Now I sit in one sense less of a man than before, but in another sense even more than I could have ever imagined.

Two, by Lau Tsu

Under heaven all can see beauty as beauty only because there is ugliness.

All can know good as good only because there is evil.

Therefore having and not having arise together.

Difficult and easy complement each other.

Long and short contrast each other;

High and low rest upon each other;

Voice and sound harmonize each other;

Front and back follow on another.

Therefore the sage goes about doing nothing, teaching no-talking.

The ten thousand things rise and fall without cease,

Creating, yet not possessing,

Working, yet not taking credit.

Work is done, then forgotten.

Therefore it lasts forever.

Tao Te Ching, By Lao Tsu

Die Before You Die, Rumi

Die before you die.

Until you become a rebirth, you won’t know what Life is.

It’s the same with anything — you don’t understand until you are what you are trying to understand.

Become reason, and you will know it perfectly.

Become Love, and be a burning wick at the center of yourself.

Listen: I would make this very plain, if someone were ready to hear what I have to tell.

Everybody in the world is dying.

Everybody is already in their death agony.

So…… Listen to what anyone says

As though it were the last words of a dying father to his son.

Listen with that much compassion, and you’ll never feel jealousy or simple anger again.

People say: everything that’s coming will come.

Understand this: it’s all here right now.

And me? I’ve been so woven into the mesh of my trivial errands

That only now do I begin

To hear the mystery of Dying,  everywhere.

Mechanism, by D.H. Lawrence

I am not a mechanism, an assembly of various sections.

And it is not because the mechanism is working wrongly, that I am ill.

 I am ill because of wounds to the soul, to the deep emotional self —

 And the wounds to the soul take a long, long time, only time can help

 And patience, and a certain difficult repentance

long difficult repentance, realization of life’s mistake, and the freeing oneself

from the endless repetition of the mistake

with mankind at large has chosen to sanctify.
